1. Who we are

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website minecraftserver.buzz and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by MinecraftServer.Buzz ("we", "us", "our").

MinecraftServer.Buzz is not an official Minecraft service and is not approved by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Mojang AB or Microsoft Corporation. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang AB.

2. Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. In that case, "you" means the organisation.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, if higher) to create an account or submit content.
• If you are under 18, you should use the Service with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account credentials secure.
• You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or if we have suspended or terminated your account.

4. Description of the Service

MinecraftServer.Buzz is a public Minecraft server list. The Service allows you to:

• Browse, search, and filter server listings (Java and Bedrock).
• View server details, copy connection addresses, and vote for servers.
• Create an account, submit and manage server listings, and access owner analytics (where available).
• Purchase optional paid advertising placements (Featured Slots, Sticky Banner, and related tiers) via PayPal subscriptions.
• Use free online tools (status checkers, converters, calculators, and similar utilities).
• Submit server ownership claims for admin review.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific rankings, player counts, or business results from using the Service.

5. Accounts

• Accounts are provided through our authentication provider (Supabase). You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Notify us promptly via the contact page if you suspect unauthorised access.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our policies, or applicable law.
• You may delete your account or request data deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Server listings

If you submit or manage a server listing, you agree that:

• All information (name, IP/hostname, description, tags, media, links, and versions) is accurate and kept up to date.
• You have the right to list the server and to use any images, banners, trailers, or text you upload.
• The server and listing comply with Mojang's terms and applicable law (no illegal content, hate speech, malware distribution, or deceptive practices).
• New and edited listings may require moderation before publication. We may approve, reject, suspend, or remove listings at our discretion.
• We may query your server (status, MOTD, player count, icon) to display live information on the Service.
• Listing rank may depend on votes, activity, premium status, and other factors we determine. We do not guarantee placement or traffic.

7. Voting

• Votes are limited per our technical rules (typically one vote per player identity per server per day, subject to change).
• You must not manipulate votes (bots, scripts, multiple accounts, VPN abuse, paid vote services, or similar).
• Logged-in votes are tied to your account. Guest votes may require a valid Minecraft username and are stored to prevent abuse.
• We may remove fraudulent votes, reset counts, or take action against servers or users involved in manipulation.
• Vote counts and leaderboards are provided for community ranking only; they are not a guarantee of server quality.

8. Claiming server ownership

If you believe you own a listing created by someone else, you may submit a claim with supporting evidence. We review claims manually and may approve or deny them at our discretion. Submitting false claims may result in account action.

9. Paid advertising and payments

Optional paid features ("Featured Slots", "Sticky Banner", and related tiers) are billed as recurring subscriptions through PayPal, generally in EUR, for 30-day periods unless stated otherwise at checkout. Current prices are shown on the advertising page at the time of purchase.

• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled in your PayPal account or via our cancellation flow where available.
• Premium placement improves visibility on the Service but does not guarantee players, revenue, uptime, or impressions. Marketing figures on the site are estimates, not promises.
• Except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us and PayPal within a reasonable time.
• We may change prices for future billing periods with notice on the Service. Price changes do not affect an active period already paid for.
• Taxes may apply depending on your location and are your responsibility where not collected at checkout.
• Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in suspension of premium features or the related listing.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Violate any law or third-party rights.
• Upload malware, phishing content, or material that exploits minors.
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate others.
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service at scale without our written permission (ordinary browsing and SEO by search engines excepted).
• Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, voting limits, or access controls.
• Reverse engineer or overload the Service (except as permitted by mandatory law).
• Use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages (spam).

11. Your content and licence to us

You retain ownership of content you submit (descriptions, images, banners, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt that content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service (including on listing pages, search results, banners, and marketing about the platform). This licence ends when you delete the content or your listing is removed, except where we must retain copies for legal compliance or backups.

12. Our intellectual property

The Service (design, code, branding, logos, and compilation of listings) is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or use our branding in a way that suggests endorsement without permission. Minecraft assets and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

13. Third-party servers and links

Listings link to independent Minecraft servers and external websites (Discord, stores, videos, etc.). We do not operate those servers and are not responsible for their content, safety, data practices, or availability. You connect to third-party servers and use external links at your own risk.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. Our Cookie Policy explains cookies and similar technologies.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MinecraftServer.Buzz and its operators, suppliers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from your use of the Service or any listed server.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for premium features in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 50, except where mandatory law prohibits such limits (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

17. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your server, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

18. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, remove listings, or cancel premium features if you breach these Terms, create risk for us or other users, or where required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by nature should survive (licences granted to us for past submissions, liability limits, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel any subscriptions.

20. Governing law and disputes

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

Otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the EEA country where our operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
